Prayer Brings Victory

My name is Samuel, I am the Pastor of a house church in Chennai. I don’t have my own house, so I live in a rented house on the first floor. My church people get to gather at my home for Sunday worship, but the owner of the house did not like us having Sunday service at their house. They live on the ground floor and they complain us of bringing many people home and make too much noise singing. They were urging me to vacate the house as soon as possible. I promised them I would vacate the house after the summer camp in May.

This summer three of the house owner’s kids attended our summer camp. The house owner also came to visit and see the camp activities. The care and love given by our staff to their kids changed the mind of the house owner. He came and talked to me nicely and encouraged me to continue my good work at his house. He felt sorry for giving trouble to me as well as to God’s work. Now his family is one of the new members at my church. He gives much respect to me as well as supports me financially to run my church.

In addition to that, I have four other new families attending my church. Their kids attended the summer camp and brought their parents to my church. Now we have a new problem; our house church is full because of the summer camp. This year’s theme was Prayer Brings Victory, so we pray that God will provide us a bigger facility to have our Sunday worship. Thanks for helping me financially and spiritually to support my church. God bless you all.
